I love photography. I own a Nikon D3400 that I take with me everywhere I go. I also own a small collection of vintage film cameras that I use occasionally. My photo journalism has been published a fair amount, and I've exhibited some of my photos, although not often.
LONG-EXPOSURE INNER SELF PHOTOS
These photos are meant to represent my inner self during a moment of hardship. The stark chiaroscuro contrast and sense of chaos were essential to conveying that feeling to my audience. When printed, they are kept life-sized to further give the audience that sense of relatability.

Some things are not always what they seem.

LOOKING DEEPER
Sometimes the inner self can be felt and doesn't need to be spelled out so clearly. These photos are intended to pull the viewer into the depths of the subject. Normally I prefer to print faces life-sized, but for these, I think they work best on a larger-than-life scale.

FACES IN PLACES
I'm inspired by our use of faces in social spaces, especially when they are detached from the body. This is most often done in architecture. They act as guardians to our homes and buildings, are often anthropomorphic, and I think there is something impactful about that juxtoposition of elements.
This series of photographs features Door Knockers that I discovered while walking around Florence, Italy.
